Clinical application of metabolic surgery in the treatment of obesity with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract:

As the prevalence rate of obesity with type 2 diabetes mellitus continues to rise and the rapid development of metabolic surgery, more and more evidences prove that metabolic surgery can significantly improve the blood sugar in the cases of obesity with type 2 diabetes. More and more scholars explore the mechanism of metabolic surgery how to improve blood sugar. And clinical experiences also reveal the different possible mechanisms, the curative effect and security of the metabolic surgery are accepted by a lot of physicians and surgeons. In order to control the postoperative blood glucose of patients, the diet health of education after metabolic surgery is also noticed by some scholars. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the mechanism of metabolic surgery to treat obesity combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus, the progress of clinical efficacy and postoperative management, so as to provide a basis for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
