Abstract:

Thyroid cancer is a common tumor in the head and neck. It has been showing an upward trend in recent years. Differentiated thyroid cancer(DTC) is extremely common in thyroid cancer, so the diagnosis and treatment of DTC is directly related to the overall treatment level of thyroid cancer. At present, surgical treatment is the primary treatment, and the currently accepted surgical methods include total/near-total thyroidectomy and unilateral thyroidectomy. To reduce the psychological and economic burden of the second operation, the East Asian region advocates central lymph node dissection on the affected side. cN1b+ is an indication for lateral neck dissection, but the extent of dissection is still controversial.
