Abstract:

Laparoscopic surgery has been widely used in the treatment of rectal cancer with the develop of minimally invasive technique. The use of three-dimensional (3D) laparoscopy provides more realistic surgical field, more accurate spatial orientation, better surgical performance, and shorter learning curve during the procedure of radical resection of rectal cancer. However, the 3D laparoscopic system still has some limitations. We believe it will have a bright prospect with the develop of technology and high-quality clinical research.
