Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the prognostic factors and survival analysis of senile metastatic breast cancer in Chengdu area.

Methods

A total of 190 elderly patients with metastatic breast cancer admitted from August 2016 to August 2019 were selected as the study subjects. All subjects completed a 3-year follow-up to observe the prognosis and were divided into survival group(n=112 cases)and death group(n=78 cases). SPSS 23.0 software was used to process the data. In this paper, measurement data are represented by(

x¯
±s),and counting data are represented by cases or %. t test and χ2 test were used to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of elderly metastatic breast cancer by multiple Logistic regression analysis, and P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.

Result

After 3 years of follow-up,112 of 190 elderly patients with metastatic breast cancer survived and 78 died, with a mortality rate of 41.0%. Univariate analysis showed that there were no significant differences in family history, surgical methods, endocrine therapy,ER positive and PR positive between the two groups(P>0.05). In the death group, single and multi-factor analysis showed that tumor diameter > 5 cm,stage Ⅲ to Ⅳ,lymph node metastasis ≥4,no radiotherapy and positive HER-2 were risk factors for the prognosis of elderly metastatic breast cancer.

Conclusion

The prognosis of senile metastatic breast cancer is affected by multiple factors, among which tumor diameter, clinical stage, number of lymph node metastases, radiotherapy and HER-2 are risk factors, and the long-term survival rate of patients is poor.
