Abstract:

The use of robotic system in the treatment of colorectal tumor is a major innovation in minimally invasive surgery and has been proven safe and feasible. Compared with laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery has larger operating space and lower conversion rate to open surgery. However, the incidence of anastomotic complications and the urogenital function protection of robotic surgery are still controversial, and the long-term effect of tumor resection is not significantly superior to that of laparoscopy, which needs to be confirmed by further follow-up data. At present, the robot system is constantly upgraded and improved, and the combination with more new technologies is expected to promote the popularization of robotic surgery. The purpose of this paper is to describe the development status of robotic system in radical resection of colorectal tumor and forecast its application prospect.
