The advantages and developments of 3D and 4K laparoscopic colorectal surgery

Abstract:

The development of three dimension (3D) laparoscopy and 4K ultra-high-definition(UHD) laparoscopy provides a technological opportunity for the precision treatment of colorectal diseases during laparoscopic surgery. By using 3D/4K laparoscopy, the accurate surgical plane, completed mesenteric resection and preservation of autonomic nervous function could be achieved technically, which ensure the feasibility, safety and oncological outcomes of laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer. We believe that, with the innovation and development of technology associated with minimally invasive surgery, the surgical technique of colorectal surgery would also have an enormous progress in the future.
