Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the short-term and long-term efficacy and aesthetic effect of modified radical mastectomy with modified mastectomy assisted by mastectomy and prosthesis implantation in stage Ⅰ for early breast cancer.

Methods

Retrospective analysis of 64 patients underwent modified radical mastectomy for early breast cancer from January 2016 to December 2016,The patients were divided into breast conserving group(n=32)and radical mastectomy group(n=32)according to their wishes. The breast conserving group was treated with modified radical mastectomy with nipple retention and areola complex assisted by mammoscopy, and the prosthesis was implanted into one-stage plastic surgery. The radical mastectomy group was treated with traditional open modified radical mastectomy. SPSS 19.0 software was used for analysis, perioperative indicators and FACT-B score are expressed as(

xˉ
±s),and independent sample t-test was used; The incidence of complications was evaluated by χ2 test, and aesthetic score by rank-sum test. P<0.05 was statistically significant.

Results

The operation time of breast conserving group was longer than that of radical mastectomy group(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications, survival rate at 12 and 36 months, recurrence rate and metastasis rate between the two groups(P>0.05). The subjective satisfaction rate of breast conserving group was 65.6%,the objective excellent and good rate was 81.3%,and the radical cure group was 12.5% and 21.9%,respectively. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores of social state, emotional state, functional state, additional attention state and total score in the breast conserving group were higher than those in the radical cure group(P<0.05).

Conclusion

Mastoscope-assisted breast-conserving modified radical mastectomy combined with implantation of prosthesis stage Ⅰ for the treatment of early breast cancer can ensure the curative effect and also have cosmetic effects, which can significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
