Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect and advantage of reduced incision laparoscopic surgery in elderly patients undergoing radical resection of rectal cancer.
Methods Retrospective analysis of 116 elderly cases of rectal cancer treated in our hospital from October 2014 to March 2018 was performed. It is divided into normal group and incision reduced group, 58 cases in each group. The SPSS22.0 software package was used for statistical analysis. The short-term efficacy and pain scores were expressed as (±s), and the independent t test was used to compare. The anastomotic leakage rate, 3-year disease-free survival rate, overall survival rate, and recurrence rate were measured by χ2 test. P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant.
Results There was no significant difference in the operation time, the incidence of anastomotic leakage, the first time after operation, and the disease-free survival, overall survival rate, and recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Comparing the total incision length, intraoperative blood loss, and pain scores, the incision reduced group had better results (P>0.05).
Conclusion Reduced incision laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of elderly patients of rectal cancer can significantly reduce the incision length, reduce the amount of bleeding, and relieve the pain of the patients. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
