Abstract

Abstract:

In the past 5~7 years, transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) has a rapid development in the China. The number of cases of TaTME has increased dramatically. Experts Consensus and Surgical Guidelines for Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision in Rectal Cance was released on September 2017, and several multi-center clinical trials have been carried out. Based on the experts consensus and surgical guidelines for TaTME, colorectal surgeons could carry out standardized surgical skills. Based on standardized clinical practice and clinical research, we can obtain the research results of TaTME operation, and evaluate both short-term and long-term outcomes of TaTME procedure.
