Abstract:
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of CalliSpheres combined with iodized oil in liver cancer.
Methods The data of 80 patients with liver cancer treated in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and they were divided into control group (iodized oil treatment) and combination group (CalliSpheres drug-loaded microspheres combined with iodized oil treatment) according to different treatment methods, with 40 cases in each group. SPSS 26.0 statistical software was used for data analysis. Liver and kidney function indexes, blood routine and coagulation indexes were observed before and after operation in 2 groups. Postoperative adverse reactions and complications; Tumor response rate at 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after surgery.
Results There was no significant difference in liver function between the two groups before operation (P>0.05). On day 7 after surgery, ALT, AST and TBIL were higher than before surgery, while ALB was lower than before surgery (P<0.05). One month after surgery, ALB was increased in both groups, but it was still lower than before surgery (P<0.05), while ALT, AST and TBIL basically recovered to pre-surgery levels (P<0.05). One month after operation, the ORR and DCR of the combined group were 92.5% and 95.0%, respectively, higher than 82.5% and 92.5% of the control group, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Three months after operation, the ORR and DCR of the two groups were decreased, but the ORR and DCR of the combined group were 90.0% and 92.5%, respectively, which were higher than 65.0% and 85.0% of the control group (P<0.05). There were no complications in the two groups, and there was no significant difference in the incidence of abdominal pain, fever, nausea and vomiting between the combined group and the control group (P>0.05).
Conclusion CalliSpheres drug-loaded microspheres combined with iodized oil are safe and effective in the treatment of liver cancer.
