Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the clinical feasibility and effect of breast plasty with glandular valvuloplasty in the operation of pathological nipple discharge.

Methods

The clinical data of 74 patients with pathological nipple discharge from September 2021 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the different surgical methods, they were divided into control group (n=37 cases, partial mastectomy) and study group (n=37 cases, partial mastectomy + valvuloplasty or fascioplasty). SPSS 20.0 software was used for statistical analysis. The count data were represented by [cases (%)] using χ2 test or Fisher exact test. Measurement data were expressed as () and independent sample t test was used. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.

Results

Compared with the control group, the operation time of patients in the study group was longer, and the total cost of treatment was higher within 1 day after operation. There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss between the two groups (P>0.05). The satisfaction of breast shape was higher in the study group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total complication rate between the two groups (P>0.05).

Conclusion

The application of glandular valvuloplasty in the surgical operation of nipple discharge can make up for the depression caused by local gland loss, maintain the shape of the breast, significantly improve patient satisfaction, and the operation is safe and effective.
