Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the feasibility and clinical effect of a new method of correcting inverted nipples with breast-feeding function.

Methods

Clinical data of patients with inverted nipple corrected by traditional correction(“trocar puncture”stent method)and improved correction(“trocar puncture” stent method + “buried wire method”)admitted from January to December 2017 and admitted from January 2020 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, with 28 cases in each group. SPSS 21.0 software was used to analyze the data. Measurement data such as satisfaction scores were expressed as(

xˉ
±s)and independent sample t test was performed. The recurrence rate and other counts were analyzed by chi-square test. Clinical efficacy was compared by Rank Sum test. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.

Results

All the 56 patients were successfully operated, and the patients had no obvious postoperative discomfort,no abnormal sensation in the nipple and blood circulation disorder during the treatment, which did not affect their normal life. The clinical efficacy of the improved surgery group was significantly better than that of the traditional surgery group(P>0.05),and the postoperative recurrence rate of the traditional surgery group was significantly higher than that of the improved surgery group(P>0.05). The satisfaction of patients in the improved group was significantly higher than that in the traditional surgery group(P>0.05),and 10 patients in the improved surgery group were pregnant and breast-fed successfully 16 months after surgery.

Conclusion

“Trocar puncture” stent method + "buried wire method" nipple inversion correction not only retains the advantages of the stent method of nipple correction, but also makes the correction effect of nipple inversion more stable, and does not affect the nursing function of patients, and the clinical effect is satisfactory.
