Oblique inguinal hernia of ovary diagnosed by high frequency ultrasound in a female infant: a rare case report

Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the clinical value of high frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of oblique inguinal hernia of ovary in a female infant.

Methods

Retrospectively analysis was performed, including the ultrasonographic features and clinical data of a female infant with inguinal hernia of ovary, who was admitted to our hospital and confirmed by surgery.

Results

Ultrasound diagnosis of inguinal hernia of ovary in this case was confirmed by surgical findings.

Conclusion

High frequency ultrasound could be used as the preferred method of indirect inguinal hernia of ovary in female infants.
