Trends and hotspots of future laparoscopic liver resection

Abstract:

With the development and promotion of laparoscopic technology in liver resection, some difficulties have been solved basically, including control of intraoperative bleeding, anatomical hepatectomy, liver resection for huge tumor, combined liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) etc.. In addition, intraoperative ultrasound and fluorescent staining techniques have also gained popularity. This article summarized all of above issues and proposed the trends of future laparoscopic liver resection, so as to promote the technical progress of laparoscopic liver resection in China.
