Status and prospect of pancreaticojejunostomy in pancreaticoduodenectomy

Abstract:

Pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)is a standard procedure for the treatment of malignant tumors in the head of the pancreas and periampullary. Pancreaticojejunostomy(PJ)is a key factor in preventing postoperative pancreatic fistula(POPF),which is technically complex and difficult to perform. Therefore,surgeons are constantly improving it. Currently,there are many PJ methods,each has its own advantages and disadvantages. With the development of technology,various new techniques and materials are widely used,and the anastomosis methods emerge in endlessly,but many details are still controversial. The present review focuses on the research progress and key points of PJ.
